We had another great weekend away with Grandma Breeze, this time accompanied by Sharon, Clive and Iris. Off we toddled to Daylesford and the Spa Country, well known for its mineral springs and day spas, and about 1 and a bit hours drive from Melbourne.
Letting our tummies do the talking, we stopped for a spot of lunch at a vegetarian café in town. Thrown in for good measure was free palm reading. There weren’t too many surprises there. Apparently Kerry is a born organiser (can you believe that?!), Mike has a fate line broken in several places (might have something to do with his several near death experiences) and Grandma is going to live till 117.
After a stroll around town looking at the various art studios and antique shops we visited Lavendula Lavender Farm. Whilst basking in the glorious sunshine we decided we hadn't quite had enough to eat so we settled in for Devonshire tea with a difference. The unusual thing about this was the lavender scones. The best (and only) way to describe the taste would be rather "floral".
It really is a beautiful part of Australia around there.
